Tear's
Tears’ Functions and Expression.

Tears
Tears are a clear, salty liquid that is secreted by the lacrimal glands found in the eyes. They serve as a natural lubricant for the eyes, helping to keep them moist and preventing dryness. Tears also contain antibodies and other substances that help protect the eyes from infections and other harmful substances.
Tears are often associated with emotions such as sadness, grief, joy, or relief, as crying is a natural response to these emotional states. Emotional tears are thought to have a different chemical composition than tears produced from irritation, such as when cutting onions.
In addition to their biological and emotional functions, tears have also been the subject of artistic and cultural expression throughout history.
